Like many of you, I have followed the Penn State scandal this past week with both shock and utter disgust. As a father of 3, I was incensed by the (alleged) actions of Jerry Sandusky and the apparent cover up by the University and its administrators.
If something like this was to happen to one of my kids, I don't know what I would do, but it would probably be something like the last scene from "The Last House on the Left".
In any case, the whole situation has left me at a loss for words and, if some of the rumors are true, it sounds like this may only be the tip of the iceberg, which makes things such as the Cubs new manager seem meaningless in comparison.
I will get back to writing about the Cubs shortly, but I just wanted to comment on this tragedy and offer my prayers to the victims and their families.
